Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331
Regulates the duties, authorities, responsibilities, rights and obligations of employers and employees to ensure OHS in workplaces.
Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 entered into force on June 30, 2012, published in the Official Gazette No. 28339.
Scope of the Law
This Law applies to all work and workplaces in the public and private sectors, employers and all employees including apprentices and interns.
Key Obligations
- Employers are obliged to ensure the work-related health and safety of employees.
- Obligation to assign occupational physician and safety specialist
- Obligation to conduct risk assessment and prepare emergency plan
- Obligation to provide OHS training to employees
- Obligation to report work accidents and occupational diseases
